REMEMBERING TYLER

Tyler was back in NE visiting family. I had a weeklong training in Denver, so of course, Tyler decided to jump in and make the trek with Dan and I to Denver. I don't remember much of my training, but remember many cheers, beers, and laugh inducing tears with this guy!

One Christmas when Tyler was with us, my large Golden Retriever, Custer, became frightened in all of the noise and confusion. Tyler came to visit us in Saint Paul. I took the day off. We sent Emory to daycare. We gathered Matt and went to the Mall of America for some adventures, including this terrifying log ride.

Tyler loved food, especially meat! The Buckhorn Exchange was one of his musts during our last trip with him to Denver. We moved to Armenia later that summer, stayed in contact and video chatted as much as possible.

Tyler was such a character. As a kid he used to hide his money and every now and then he we get it out, iron it, and then hide it in a new place. He carved his own authentic path.

In May 2011, Tyler visited MN. We took the opportunity to venture up north to Lake Superior for the first time. We had no idea how cold it would still be. On top of that, we could not get the heat to turn on in our rental house. The warmest spot, was making s'mores next to the fire. We ate lots o

Tyler loved lived sports events. He had a special place in his heart for the goofy antics of the Saint Paul Saints baseball team. We went to games as a family starting in 2014 at their old Midway stadium.

My husband Dan became fast friends with Tyler- probably because they both have insane singing voices! That is NOT me in the photo...

On a visit to Tyler in KC, he took us to a flea market area. He found these bread plates he knew I would love. I treasure them.

Once upon a time, there was a big cat that liked little boxes. Cypher adopted Tyler in Denver. They had a great life together. Cypher lives in KC now with the Christensens and has lots of adventures.
